Tech Gods was founded upon a life-time of experience in developing software and hardware solutions to some of the world's most intractable and challenging, problems.  Our founder has built businesses around many important technologies and has worked with some of the brightest people on earth.  He helped launch the original laser printers for Hewlett Packard (his first technology job out of grad school), he was a senior member of the staff at Cray Research, one of the world's leading supercomputer companies (while working in the supercomputing arena, he led the effort to win the prestigious grant and award of the Army High Performance Computing Research Center, built in the city of Cray's headquarters at the time, Minneapolis, Minnesota), and has founded and taken public, three separate companies, as Chief Executive Officer.  

 

As a result, Tech Gods, Inc. understands the needs of technical people.  Without these key employees, reaching the summit of success is nearly impossible---regardless of the company in question.  Only by retaining important, critical talent through ownership and commitment, can organizations drive to successful execution of their business plans.  Key talent, when approached in this way, radically improves the odds of success for virtually any corporation. This is accomplished by paying the people we represent (i.e., our "Tech Gods") very well, and providing them generous equity incentives and rewards in their compensation plans.

While we only get paid on non-securities-based compensation, we believe in an old saying:

 

"You eat W-2, but grow wealthy through equity."

 

For most people, as their pay check increases, the house gets a little bigger, the boat gets 3' longer, the car becomes a little nicer, the dinners fancier, your kids go to better schools, and your spouse shops a bit more!  And, of course, taxes and fees from every government agency go straight up! Just like that, POOF!!  Your W-2 is gone, or greatly reduced!

W-2 earnings are enormously important, as they assure you and yours a 

good life, now.  It is also important to build for your future. For our clients,

putting an emphasis on equity compensation and incentive rewards is a huge

priority.  We believe their mission critical technical contributions are what

drives the success in a company.  With technology pervasively intruding into

every single industry on earth, the rarest of breeds, our Tech Gods, can make all the difference between success and failure in an organization.

 

Unfortunately, most really good technical people don't receive fair compensation, considering the value they bring to an organization's shareholders. Many brilliant technologists have no real interest in the business side of things---they work because they love what they do!  As a result, they never took the time to get the business training, or build the skill-set necessary, to maximize their career values, by becoming particularly good negotiators.  Today, relatively few people receive warrants, stock options, stock grants, or other perks reserved for executives, with the exception of a few leading technology companies, which lead the way in this area.  

 

The problem is, many companies do not provide equity participation until a person "makes it" to the executive ranks.  This is very old-school thinking, but is common practice among most companies around the world.  Even the grants doled out by the largest and most successful tech companies rarely reflect the true value of a Tech God's worth to an organization.  

 

Yet, all Tech Gods see the CEOs, the COOs, the CFOs and all the other "Cs," running off with hundreds of millions of dollars in options, warrants, stock grants, deferred compensation, bonuses (approved by puppet compensation committees) and other amazing perks.  We, at Tech Gods, Inc., just want to even the playing field out, a bit!

We desire to change the equations and methodologies used to determine priority compensation, historically speaking, for most companies.  To accomplish this---we ask for your help.  By placing your trust in us, we, together, can let the free market speak for itself.  

 

Right now, most great tech talent is hidden from public view.  This is the way companies like it, as it prevents poaching and general                                         employee  turnover.  It also dampens

compensation increases due to                                                 competitive pressure.  Thirty, or

forty years ago, companies                                                      showed tremendous loyalty to their

employees.  Unfortunately, this                                                  has changed, and most companies don't think twice about laying                                                      off people when things get tough!

Once again, at Tech Gods, Inc.,                                           our mission and desire is to obtain multi-year agreements for you, if                                                 possible!  These kinds of agreements are good for you and good for the                                          company which hires you!

 

If you work for a company which has been                         at the forefront of thinking in the human

resource area, then the top talent is already locked up in multi-year agreements.  For these contracted souls, we wait patiently waits for your contracts to expire.  Then we will see if we can help you by being your agent and getting you a much better deal, than you can on your own.

This philosophy carries through in our contract and employment negotiations.  These may include increased salary, bonus, severance pay, vacation, sabbatical leave, sick time, sick pay, as well as, maternity leave for both spouses, paid training, ongoing education, telecommuting, lifestyle perks,  and the issuance of stock grants, stock options, warrants, and other deferred compensation.  The decision to accept, or reject, an offer is in our clients' hands, however, we believe we do an outstanding job of understanding the needs, the capabilities and the importance of our clients to hiring companies, and greatly increase the probability of a successful outcome in contract negotiations.
